Jake, an old favourite of the pub dogs has, sadly, gone to the big kennel in the sky. He was 14, but had gone deaf and blind, and the back legs had gone, so Roger, his owner did the honourable thing.
It’s always a sad decision to have to make but you can’t let an animal suffer can you? As you say, it’s crazy that by law human beings have no right to put an end to their own misery and yet they can be fined for allowing an animal to suffer..

Unfortunately when you buy the pet you buy the future heart ache at the same time.
At least he had a good, long life! 🙂
I so agree, dear John…..We have more understanding for our dear pets than our human Dear Ones……

Poor Jake.
I’m sure he was much loved during his lifetime and gave much joy.
